Actron CP7876 Thermometer Great
The thermometer works as advertized. The only problem that I have is that my family thinks I'm crazy since I'm always running around the house and measuring the temperature of everything.

Actron CP7876 Thermometer VERY GOOD.
Have used it on a variety of surfaces. Is very easy to use and gives a quick response. Temps seem to be accurate. Like the padded carrying case to store it in when not in use. The auto-off feature is very nice, never have to forget to turn it off when done using it. The laser light aides in directing the sensor to the desired target. This is a good non-contact thermometer and very easy to use. Definitely got my money's worth out of this device.

Nice unit. The holster is lightly padded and makes a nice storage case. Backlit. It also has a hole to attach a small lanyard. Comes with batteries. Its quick, easy and fun to use.

I have been shopping for a IR thermometer in stores but found this to be the easiest to use. It's accurate and have already found many uses around the house. The most important was finding areas where i need extra insulation. I also like the scanning and last reading memory feature.

Shipped fast. This is a cool device for just having fun, but it will be useful for rating the oven I'm building for melting glass and it can tell you were air leaks are for insulating the house.

And I think if the surrounding temperature is too extreme, it stops working properly, too.

I have also found it very usefull for all sorts of things. The other day I was using it to take the tempurature of a Trilobite tank.

I bought this infrared thermometer as a replacement. I use the thermometer to check the temperature of my outboard motor and also inspecting the A/C unit in my house to check for leaks in the duct work. The applications for this product is unlimited. The laser pointer produces pinpoint accuracy. It is simple to operate. I highly recommend this product for quality & price.

I was having some overheating issues on my boat and a fellow boater recommended this IR thermometer to help diagnose the problem. I've found this to be a fun and useful little gadget that just does what it is supposed to. I really like the laser pointer, the easy to read lighted display, and the lightness (without feeling flimsy).

Actron CP7876 Best tool.
I have been impressed with the accuracy and ease of use of this thermometer. Most of my use is in automotive applications but I like the range as well for heating and refrigeration uses. I am very satisfied with this compact and easy to use tool.

Came with a carrying case. Easy to use. Point and shoot and the temperature is captured. 10:1 distance v. target (1.2" target at 12" distance, 7.2" at 6 feet, etc. Was able to shoot a window about 20' feet away and it appeared to have even finer resolution than that). Repeatable accuracy (same temp displayed each time I re-shot the target). Bought it to help with daughter's science fair project. She needed a way of measuring the temperature of various types of operating lamps (CFLs, incandescents, etc.). Put a piece of black electrical tape on the surface of each and shot it with this pyrometer. The CP7876 has an automatic maximum hold feature that captures the highest temperature so you can sweep the unit around the target area. The large display in the middle shows the instantaneous (about 1 second update rate) and a smaller display in the lower right corner of the screen shows the maximum temperature recorded since the trigger was pulled.

I just purchased this at a local Discount Auto Parts store. The clerk behind the counter didn't know what it was, so, I gave him a brief explanation. After, he asked what part of my car I'd be using it on, and I said, "My cast iron skillet." He started to laugh. I explained that I would be using this to measure my cooking surfaces, so I could get The Perfect Sear. The clerk scratched his head, and then the light went on.
I bought this thermometer to see just how "HIGH" the high setting on my stove was. My gut told me it was well above the 500F mark. To my surprise, my stovetop, single burner glass-top, was reaching 900F. I now have an accurate breakdown of all temperatures between 250 and 900F thanks to this great tool. Actron, good work.

Compared mine to other non-infrared thermometers in my house and to known temperatures (such as forehead) and it appeared to be accurate within 2-4 deg F, usually on the low side. Product has a large temperature measurement range. Works well for finding the hot/cold spots in your house. Great little tool.

The product does exactly what was claimed by the manufacturer. It is a well made devise for the price, is accurate and very easy to use. Very practical when using it as a dionostic tool on auto and diesel engines, around the house to check temps differences in walls, windows, etc.

This handy gadget is very simple to use.
1) Insert batteries. (not included)
2) Push the button to chose Celsius or Fahrenheit.
3) Aim at an object and push the big button trigger.
It gives the temperature almost instantly, and it saves the most recent high temperature so that different readings from different spots are all counted. I would buy this product again, and have already recommended it to friends.

I use it for so many things . . . checking for drafts in insulation, checking temperature in AV and computer racks (discovered exactly why my XBOX 360 kept seizing on me), checking temperature of many different types of liquids . . . uses are, indeed, endless and I find new ones each week. I have dipped an instant read thermometer into liquids and that matches very closely to the Actron reading of the same liquid, so I believe this device is very accurate.
